Why is OneNote suddenly unable erase ink with the Scratch-out gesture?
Scratch-out gesture erase ink in OneNote 2010, 2013, 2016
Gesture erase ink has been available since OneNote 2010.In OneNote options Window -> Advanced -> Pen group, there is a checkbox to turn on and off the scratch-out gesture to erasing ink:
[ ] Disable the scratch-out gesture while inking
OneNote 2010, 2013, 2016 all continue to use this switch.
OneNote 2021, 2024 doesn't have scratch-out gesture to erase ink feature
However, when OneNote 2021 comes to the v2405 version, this switch suddenly disappears.Next, a large number of OneNote users reported not being able to erase their ink with scratch-out gesture
OneNote 365 v2504 restores the starch-out gesture to erase ink

For OneNote 2021, 2024 there is no way to solve it for the time being.The solution for OneNote 365 v2502 – v2504 is to reinstall Windows, then install the latest version of OneNote 365 from the new.
