How to Fix can't login properly after updating iOS OneNote to 16.112.2?

Quastion:
In our organization, we have at least three users where logging in to the OneNote mobile app on iOS does not work with the last version 16.112.2 (released at 2026.7.29 according to iOS AppStore version history).
Does anyone else experince this?
The logs pulled from iOS indicate that the OneNote app handles the authentication incorrectly after the user entered their credentials.
The Entra ID logs show a successful authentication (Microsoft Authentication Broker).
We're using MS Authenticator on the phones for authentication. Logging in to another MS application, e.g. Word, works flawlessly.
