OneNote for Windows 10 unsynced to OneDrive.com for a long time, now attempting to sync cause lost notes

Question:
I don't know what's going on. I've been using the OneNote for Windows 10 version for so long.
I opened Onenote and found the notice telling me to switch to the new version soon before it becomes read-only, but my notes weren't syncing to OneDrive.com so I tried to repair and reset my OneNote for Windows 10 app.
But, I realize now that was probably a bigger mistake.
Now follow picture is what the OneNote online version is telling me when I try to open the section I need:
We're SorrySomething went wrong and we couldn't load this content. Refreshing the browser may fix the problem.
and follow picture is what happens when I open the section in OneNote for Windows 10. This was also the same device I took notes on.
Hang on while this page syncs...We're waiting for another device to finish uploading your notes.Section was last modified at 2025-09-18 4:49 PM
HELP!!!
Answer:
Because you tried to sync OneNote for Windows 10 and reset it, the cache of OneNote for Windows 10 has been cleared, and it is no longer possible to recover unsynced notes.
